Hello, and welcome.

I’m Veronica Rechere, the United Kingdom’s first Herbal Tea Sommelier, founder of Versatelier, and UK Country Chair for the G100 Circular Economy Wing.

Versatelier was born from a lifelong belief that tea is far more than a beverage. It is an invitation to pause, reconnect with ourselves and the natural world, and embrace a more intentional way of living.

My own journey began in Jamaica when I was thirteen years old. Guided by my parents and grandparents, who were passionate farmers, I discovered the extraordinary relationship between people and nature. They taught me that every herb, every flower and every fruit has its own story, and that the natural world offers remarkable gifts when we take the time to observe and understand it.

Those early lessons have stayed with me throughout my life. Today, I continue to grow many of my own herbs, fruits, vegetables and flowers, finding the same joy and inspiration in nurturing the earth that first sparked my curiosity all those years ago.

Over the years, I have devoted myself to researching herbal tisanes, botanical ingredients and tea traditions from around the world. My work has grown beyond understanding what is in a cup of tea to exploring how tea can become part of a more mindful way of living. Through tea rituals, meditation, breathing practices and time spent in nature, I hope to encourage moments of calm, reflection and restoration for the mind, body and spirit.

When the COVID-19 pandemic changed the way we lived, many people began searching for simple ways to care for themselves and those around them. During that time, I saw how something as simple as preparing a cup of tea could provide comfort, routine and a much-needed opportunity to slow down. As more people embraced those quiet rituals, Versatelier naturally grew alongside them, becoming a trusted source of botanical wellbeing for customers seeking moments of calm, balance and connection.

Today, Versatelier has evolved into a luxury botanical lifestyle brand rooted in wellness, education and sustainability. Every tea I create, every article I write and every workshop I deliver reflects my belief that tea should be experienced with intention, curiosity and respect for the natural world.

Sustainability is woven into everything I do. From responsibly sourcing botanicals and choosing thoughtful packaging to encouraging composting, circular living and biodiversity, I believe that every small choice has the power to create positive change. My work with the G100 Circular Economy Wing reflects that same belief: ‘that healthier communities and a healthier planet begin with collaboration, education and mindful action’.

Whether I am introducing someone to their very first herbal tisane, sharing the remarkable story of a single botanical or welcoming readers into the Versatelier Website, my hope is always the same:

To help people slow down.
To reconnect with nature.
To discover the quiet joy found in a beautifully prepared cup of tea.
